Hi my name is David Harper and I created Walter Prints with the desire for being creative and offering people an amazing way to showcase their unique items, an old camera passed down from father to son, a deck of cards with memories attached to them of laughter, An old toy you still have reminding you of life as a child,
I love the idea of these precious and personal items being photographed with such detail and being printed large scale on archival quality Hahnemühle paper, every little scratch and scrape, dent or bash, chipped and faded paint all visible showcasing the life and journey your item has been through and each memory becoming a statement through it , seeing the end result is truly stunning.
With a history studying fine art and textiles and working in the commercial sector I have the tools and knowledge to produce stunning pieces of art work for you to enjoy.
Alongside producing beautiful commissions I also wanted to shine a closer light (and lens) against the almost every day items we glance at and yet often pass no thought to, some of these item years later have become iconic and when we see them they remind us of how life was, often returning us with a smile of a happy memory, why not take that item, photograph it with beautifully sculpted light and attention to detail and create a stunning limited edition print that can take place on a wall and be your talking point and something to share and reminisce.
Who is Walter?
Walter is the name of our dog who sadly passed away, he was a cheeky little pug with such a personality and charm so it felt right to name this venture after him, he is thought about every single day and made a huge impact to our lives.
All of my work is produced from my purpose built home studio located in County Durham in the North East of the UK using professional quality kit, photo capturing and editing techniques to ensure of a high end finish
